The recent countrywide unrest has raised questions about whether our clients will be covered in the event that they are injured in an unrest-related incident. We can confirm that if any client suffers an injury that results in a valid claim on any of their policy benefits, Liberty will pay the claim.
In these troubled times, we believe that we have a responsibility to support those who have stood up to help restore peace in our communities. You may be aware that there is an automatic clause in our Living Lifestyle benefits that indicates that claims resulting from riots and insurrection will not be paid. However, we would like to confirm that should any person involved in efforts to protect their community in the current unrest suffer an incident that results in a valid claim, Liberty will pay the claim.
Activities proven to be criminal in nature or undertaken illegally may be subject to further investigation.
All life cover policies will be honoured in the event of a claim related to the current unrest.
